Ismail In Team Of The Week (27/2/18)

Ismail In Team Of The Week (27/2/18)

Bury are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Gillingham.

The performance by Zeli Ismail in the two one victory over Gillingham at the weekend at Gigg Lane was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Ismail was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Ismail teed up both Neil Danns and Harry Bunn in the Shakers` defeat of the Gills — a win that moved he and his teammates off the bottom of the table.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Ismail for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Aaron Chapman (Accrington Stanley), Clark Robertson (Blackpool), Tim Ream (Fulham), Adam Webster (Ipswich Town), Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa), Joe Newell (Rotherham United), Lee Tomlin (Nottingham Forest), Zeli Ismail (Bury), Kevin Allison (Morecambe), Danny Graham (Blackburn Rovers), Jordan Bowery (Crewe Alexandra).

Manager - Jose Morais (Barnsley).
