Holmes Joins On Loan

Holmes Joins On Loan

Ahead of today's game against Accrington Stanley, manager David Flitcroft secured the loan signing of Duane Holmes.

The young and versatile midfielder is a second year professional at Huddersfield Town and having been given the No 28 shirt in his spell with us, he has gone straight into the squad today - named on the bench.

He was one of the key members of Huddersfield's U18 squad in their successful 2012-13 season, making 25 starts and scoring 16 times from his midfield position, and he has also made 25 senior appearances for the Huddersfield first team and during a loan spell with Yeovil Town last season in the Championship - last term he was voted Huddersfield's Young Player of the Year.

A number of League One clubs were interested in him, but we have managed to fight off that competition and secure him on a youth loan until January 5.
