Bury To Sign Jalal?

Sky Sports are reporting today that Bury are close to signing free agent and 30 year old goalkeeper Shwan Jalal in the coming weeks.

His current contract at Bournemouth runs out at the end of the month and they say that negotiations have been held with us that will see him sign a two year deal.

Jalal joined Bournemouth on a permanent basis back in August 2008 and went on to make 171 appearances for them, featuring in both of their promotion winning seasons from League Two and then League One, but he has failed to play for them in the Championship after March 2013 after falling out of favour with the gaffer and being replaced between the sticks.

He apparently confirmed to press last month that he would definitely be leaving, and should he join us then he carries good experience and knows what it takes to mount promotions and that can only be an asset whilst we are looking to replace Play of the Year Brian Jensen.
