Flitcroft Moves Quick To Improve Squad

New manager David Flitcroft has moved quickly to start molding the Bury squad he wants to move forward with.

Centre half James Burke has signed for the club on an 18 month deal following his release by Huddersfield Town.

He has been handed the No 27 shirt, and hopefully if the paperwork has all gone through he'll be in contention for the game against Hartlepool United.

The 19 year old is yet to make his league debut from what I can tell, but he has come through Huddersfield youth set up and Flitcroft must see something in him.

Goalkeeper Brian Jensen has also signed an extension to his deal which will now see him remain at the club until the end of the current campaign. He has now made 17 appearances for the club.

Former Manchester United and Manchester City right back, Frederic Veseli has joined us on a month's loan spell from Ipswich Town. He joined them at the start of the season and has been handed the No 29 shirt.

Flitcroft has also been able to secure the loan extension of Anton Forrester from Blackburn Rovers and his new deal will run until the end of the season.

He joined us in the summer and has so far made 21 appearances and is our leading goalscorer with 6 goals.

The final piece of news is that goalkeeper Trevor Carson will also now remain with Portsmouth until the rest of the season.

He joined them on October 1st and has so far made 17 appearances. It's expected he will remain with them regardless.
