Blackwell - We've A Long Way To Go

Kevin Blackwell has admitted he was thrilled with the result against Accrington Stanley but he wasn't happy with our overall performance - however he knows we are still a work in progress.

Speaking to the Official Site following the 3-0 victory, the manager said.

'There was a little bit of anxiety about the place before the game, which was our worst performance but our best result. That is all down to the fact that the players felt they deserved better results from our first couple of games. I've said to the lads that when we got the ball down and moved it, we looked decent. This is still a learning curve and I am still not sure how they are going to respond, and on Saturday I learnt a bit more about the lads. I've really pleased with the application, the attitude and that result for me has been coming.'

Blackwell adds that the positives are there for him to take, but he knows it's not going to come together overnight at the club and he thanks the fans for their continued support and patience.
