Bishop Leaves For Wrexham

The club have announced that they have reached an agreement with Andy Bishop regarding his contract and he has now left the club to join Wrexham.

He joined on a free from York City back in May 2006. He made 264 appearances and scored 83 goals, but his latter years at the club have been marred with injury, although thankfully he seems free of that now.

'Andy leaves with the club blessing, and appreciation for the effort and commitment that he has shown over the last seven seasons.'

Andy himself told the Official Site following his departure.

'Now my move to Wrexham has been completed, I'd like to thank the manager, his coaching staff and especially physio Tom Walsh for all their help and support over the years. I've made a lot of friends at the club and there have been plenty of ups and down during my time at Bury. I've enjoyed every second of the last seven years and will remember everything about the place with great fondness.'

As for the support of the fans he explains he probably wouldn't have been at the club for the length of time he has been had it not been for the support of the fans and he cannot thank them enough.
