Jones On Professional Bury & Holden's New Deal

Jones On Professional Bury & Holden's New Deal

Craig Jones returned to pre season training and said it was like arriving at a new club, whilst Euan Holden signed a new 12 month deal.

Speaking to the Official Site Jones explained that it was good to be back and that he was looking forward to a full pre season campaign after overcoming his injury at the tail end of last season to impress, and now he's looking to get a good season under his belt.

With all the off field issues, he was obviously faced questions about that in his interview as well.

'It's good to be back, I'm fit and ready to go after the little setback.'

Jones says it was disappointing because it took him so long to break into the team - longer than he'd hoped for - so to suffer an injury just as he was really finding his feet was frustrating, especially as he feels the form he was coming into could've really helped us maybe avoid the drop.

As for the changes since he left for his break, he added.

'You walk into this place now and there is a massive difference. The mood is very good and people have their heads held high.'

Euan Holden has also put pen to paper on a 12 month deal as Bury's revolution continues. Obviously the 26 year old spent 4 months with us on non contract terms last season so the midfielder knows Kevin Blackwell and his methods and tactics well, so he should be a good addition for us.

Despite the time he spent with us, he only played one match last season. No doubt that is something he plans on fixing this coming campaign.
