Blackwell Expects More To Leave

Kevin Blackwell has said that he expects David Worrall and Steven Schumacher to leave the club over the summer.

Speaking to the Bury Times the gaffer admitted that the sooner the club can address the playing staff for next season, the better it would be for all concerned.

'One or two players could, if a little bit of luck comes their way, find themselves in the Championship. It would be nice to see Schuey having a little go before it's too late. Young Wozz has got plenty of time ahead of him, he's done brilliantly for us.'

Blackwell says he's so far been unable to hold any kind of constructive talks with the board about the coming season because their focus is on finding investors at the moment.

'The longer we prevaricate it is putting the club on the back foot. They honoured the wages and that helped, I hope it's a good sign, but we can't keep going from hand to mouth. It's not nice coming into work if you're not sure what you are going to get paid or if you are going to get paid.'

Saying that he's in limbo without some kind of communication from the board, Blackwell says it's almost impossible to deal with agents as he normally would at this stage because he really has nothing to tell them.
