Carlisle 2 Bury 1

Carlisle 2 Bury 1

Brunton Park

The upturn in fortunes (which it'll be hoped can be carried into the new year) Carlisle are undergoing in recent days continued with a win at home over Bury on Saturday.

It was a dream start for Carlisle at Brunton Park; they were two-up after just 10-minutes. An early penalty from Lee Miller (2) put them ahead with Matty Robson (10) soon adding the second.

Amazingly in that frantic opening Bury could have easily been level as the post and a good save denied them.

Bury pulled one back early in the second half through Steven Schumacher (53) and only some fine saves, including an injury-time one, prevented them fighting back with Carlisle holding on for a 2-1 win.
